As winter rains followed, water slipped between roof layers and pooled, creating a hidden \u201cwater-bed\u201d that threatened the building\u2019s interior and day-to-day city services.<\/p>\n<p>Guardian Roofs was called in before the situation escalated. Within hours, the team mapped the trapped water and executed a mitigation plan designed to protect the building first: crews used submersible pumps and gravity drainage to move water out through existing roof drains before any tear-off began. That sequence kept moisture out of occupied spaces and allowed city operations to continue.<\/p>\n<p>With the roof system safely dried, Guardian Roofs performed a full tear-off down to the plywood substrate and installed a new, energy-efficient GAF EverGuard\u00ae 60-mil TPO roof.
