We had a major roof leak during the last atmospheric river in So. California. We began the roofing education process by seeking five bids. We were told various things about how to fix our problem roof but most of them turned out to be wrong. … More There was real misinformation from most of the roofers saying that a repair was possible ( it wasn’t) or an expensive re-layment was the only option. Our last bid was from Guardian Roof. With one look, Mario correctly identified that our then current tiles were discontinued because they were defective and in fact would not tolerate being pulled up and re-laid without a lot of breakage, as three other companies had bid. This observation was corroborated by another informed roofer but who was more expensive. So, for the SAME price that others were quoting to pull off the whole roof, repair a small section with new tiles and then re-use our old ( defective and crumbling) tiles to put back down, Guardian gave us a whole NEW tile roof as well as repairing some newly discovered termite damage. They were very responsive to our needs and worked steadily to complete the whole job in a week’s time, after the tiles were available. It looks beautiful! We were very happy with their honest and correct assessment of what was really needed, their very fair pricing, and their good work. So very glad we kept getting more bids until we found the right company for the job.

During this last heavy rain I noticed that my furnace exhaust pipe was dripping rainwater down into my garage and I wanted to get this fixed as soon as possible, during this short break, before the next big rain event that is expected this … More weekend. I was looking for roofing contractors last week and was able to schedule Guardian Roofs to come out yesterday. I’m very thankful that they sent Mario to come out for inspection. He looked up to the roof in my garage where the vent pipes were located and noticed that daylight was coming in from both roof exhaust pipes (one coming from the furnace and the other from water heater). He told me he would go onto my roof to inspect them, but unbeknownst to me he not only helped me inspect them but he also brought his caulking gun to help me seal the cracks on both exhaust pipes without charging me. I don’t see any daylight coming in now!
I can’t stop expressing my appreciation for this act of kindness, and this act of paying it forward, as I know other roofing contractors would most likely had me scheduled for this small fix next week, which is after this weekend storm, and probably nickel and dime me. Thank you Mario for giving me peace of mind for this upcoming weekend rain event and any future rain events. I’m very happy with this genuine service and will be using your service again for any of my future roofing needs. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! -

Mario was the superintendent responsible for the job and called me consistently to see how things were going and answered every question I had. Alex was my main contact throughout the job and arrived at 7:00 am everyday which I appreciated. He was very personable and I did my best to let him do his job. Whenever there was an area that had to be addressed, Alex would talk to me prior to changing anything without my permission. Freddie did a fantastic job of laying out the tiles and was very efficient and clean. My house was cleaned every day and I never had any issues. Mona Portillo along with Helen were great to work with from the office as well. As I mentioned earlier, Guardian Roofs went above and beyond my expectations!! Thank you for making us very happy. -
A few weeks back I uncovered evidence of a leak in my roof. I made some calls, got a few estimates and chose Guardian. Now, Guardian was not the lowest estimate. But, the person who did the estimate arrived with satellite photos … More of our roof, notes about where he thought the leak was, and where it would show as a leak in our home. Before we entered my home, he told me where the leak would be in our interior ceiling.
And he was exactly right.
The day the work was done, Emiliano arrived on time and with all the tools and supplies he would need. In just over four hours, it was finished. Of course, I can't see the roof, but I have a feeling it was expertly done.
Now, if it would just hurry up and rain a few inches, we could tell for sure. LOL.

I've had a few small leaks over the past couple of years that were dealt with temporary fixes. I knew it was time, but the estimates for a new roof were much more expensive than expected. I even considered partial repairs. After 8 … More estimates, it seemed all roofing companies had some type of negative review and prices varied. I chose Guardian Roofs for their fair pricing, 20-year warranty, and Mario's attentive service. He emailed informations that I requested and dropped off samples promptly. Unlike some companies, he responded to my calls/texts promptly with a lot of patience. As I had many concerns after reading so many reviews; he addressed and assured each one.
The crew, Ruben and Carlos, were impressive. I'm usually a little skeptical and like to see the work that is being done, so I went up to the roof every day to check the progress. Ruben addressed and explained each of my many questions. If there was something he wasn't sure about, he contacted Mario immediately. There were 2 incidents where Ruben gave me a "what you talking about" look : ) in regards to an agreement made with Mario for the section of the chimney and getting some extra tiles at the end of the job. Even though the 20-year warranty covered them, it was quickly taken care of to my satisfaction. Overall, we are very pleased with their work. We would recommend Mario and his crew, without a doubt. They were very efficient and professional, making sure to tidy up and not damage any parts of my home (one of my concerns from various reviews).

I was looking into replacing my 20+ yrs tile roof to the Tesla solar roof but after months of waiting (I pre-ordered the solar roof and it was stuck at the design phase), Tesla told me that they no longer serve my area and refunded me the … More money. As I was looking for an alternative, I came across GAF's solar shingles and I was very interested in them.Guardian Roofs is GAF's certified installer in SoCal area. Larry from Guardian Roofs reached out to me within a day after I filled out the "Request for a Quote" form on GAF's website. Told me about their company and we chatted about my needs for the new roof and solar system. Within the next few days, he sent me a proposal, explained every single detail to me carefully and patiently answered all of my questions and concerns. He truly enjoy working with Larry because he would find out the answers for any questions he wasn't able to answer on the call and actually called me back and explained them to me thoroughly.I called/emailed six roofing companies/contractors, only four responded within the first week with a quote. The quote from Guardian Roofs was the second lowest (cheaper than Tesla's solar roof). The other three quotes were traditional solar panels and reroof using the existing tiles. I quickly decided to go Guardian Roof's quote not only it's much cheaper than Tesla's solar roof, but their panels also looked much nicer than the traditional ones.My only concern was that without the space between the rack and roof, how would the heat generated by the panels being released? I asked Larry this question and he explained to me but I didn't quite understand, so I asked the owner, Justin, the same question during the installation and he explained to me by showing me the actual products. Turned out the combination of the underlaying sheet, GAF's Timberline Shingles and the actual panels were playing a big part in handling the heat.The installation took a week to complete. I'm very pleased that the owner himself actually came out a couple of days and climbed on the roof to make sure everything was done correctly. He was also there to answer all of my questions about the job. Additionally, GAF sent a technician from the San Jose headquarter to oversee the installation of the panels. Not the mention William (the lead installer from Guardian Roofs) and his crew did a great job cleaning up the area after the job was completed.

With another rain storm due, Justin juggled his schedule, kept in touch giving me his cell number and … More had two fantastic workers on my roof promptly, Oscar and Eldon lead by Ernesto, before the predicted storm. At the completion of the work, they were loading their truck and I went inside only to hear noise on the roof; I looked out my window and they were back up sweeping my entire roof and cleaning debris from my gutter covers! You just do not often get that kind of service, workmanship and attention to detail these days. Excellent job! Thank you so very much.Liz

We tried to install solar in 2017 & discoverer we needed a new roof & a new electrical panel. Needles to say, we had to pull out of our plans due to finances. One of the roof estimates we got was from Dan Hill at Guardian. Their … More estimate at the time was reasonable. They weren't the highest or the lowest, but they gave a higher quality shingle for the money. They had done work for 2 relatives that had nothing but good things to say. There was no hard sale experience. at all Two years later (2019), we decided to tackle the roof. We had Sears Home Improvement do an estimate & nearly swallowed our tongues. Their price was so outrages & the hard selling was mind numbing. We were so discouraged & really did not want to have to go through that ever again & decided to reached out to Dan Hill again to have him update his 2017 estimate. He was more than happy to do it & remembered us. The new estimate was still reasonable. The process from Dan to Mario to all the workers made it a pleasure to get our roof done and get gutters & 2 solar tubes installed. When the job was completed, there were 2 tee nee tiny minor things to correct & they did it no problem. I would highly recommend Guardian to anyone who asks with no hesitation. There is a reason they are still in business, they don't have to hard sell, & they don't cold call you until the cows come home to drum up business. They are priced well, they have great products, they do great work, their workers are great to work with.

Everything was done very professionally and the price was better than most of the quotes we got. No problem leaving a written quote that was good for a couple of months. Our job required uninstalling existing … More tiles from the roofs which were to have solar panels installed, and covering those roofs with composite tiles. After the solar panel installation, they came back and backfilled the existing original tiles back onto the roof. It looks great. They knew what they were doing and I would highly recommend them.

This company is unbelievable. They did what they said, they stuck to their quote. They showed up when they were suppose to and breezed through inspection. I gave them access to my driveway during the week of work and stayed out of their … More way. When they were done they cleaned up and the driveway was spotless. I don't usually recommend businesses but I was so impressed from first contact with the owner who answered the phone on a weekend until completion. Who could have asked for more. Even my painter (who also does roofs) was impressed an pointed out special touches most roofers don't include. And their estimate was right in the middle of the lowest and the highest. Excellent, excellent workmanship. And a 50 year warranty on the roof with a company that backs the product even if the contractors go out of business.

Guardian did a complete tear-off and replacement of my 30+ year old roof and replaced it with a new Owens Corning Duration Plus cool roof system. Dan, the estimator was friendly and extremely knowledgeable and made some excellent recommendations … More to solve specific problems I experienced with the old roof. The tear-off crew was quick and had the roof stripped in one day (although they did make some extra work for the installation crew). The tear-off debris was recycled (as per City requirements), so none of it ended up in a landfill. The installation crew were experienced and functioned as a well organized team. The lead worker was exceptional and very detail oriented. He anticipated problems and addressed them before they became an issue. There was a miscommunication between the installation crew and the office over a small problematic area of the roof that required a torch-applied rubber membrane, but the lead worker made the area weather tight and returned with the tools and materials the following Monday to re-work the area and apply the membrane as contracted. Before they left, all trash was removed and the entire area was clean. Was very happy with the results and my neighbors complimented the appearance of the new roof. From start to finish the job was completed in one week.
